Vulcanizing

SAS can create gaskets through vulcanizing processes. We can do this with everything from taking extrusions or molded cross sectionsand bonding or vulcanizing the edges together to create continuous closed designs, such as O-Rings. This is very useful in instances when the volumes are low and it would be cost prohibitive to create tooling. Or when the part is too large to fit into any press to bemolded. Through our experience and knowledge of chemical compatibility we have very good results when vulcanizing. This is also a very popular solution for silver filled gaskets where the material cost is very large so instead of creating a 9″ x 12″ gasket sometimes you can create that same gasket from several segments and it may only utilize 12″ x 2″ of material.
